Barnaby’s: The Family Inn is a pizza franchise that, while not as popular as Pizza Hut, had locations across the country. The Barnaby’s in Des Plaines was a favorite for high schoolers from my alma mater, Maine West. I spent many evenings there, enjoying a meal with family or friends, and always loved this window depicting a medieval nuclear family eating a smorgasbord of pizza, burgers, fries, and bread. Unfortunately, this location closed in 2020 due to COVID restrictions and never reopened.
